Skydive Tauranga
Experience the most stunning skydive in the North Island with Skydive Tauranga
Can you tell that Things To Do In Tauranga are just a little bit excited about Skydive Tauranga? It's so many things - a spectacular start to your adventure with a 20 to 25-minute scenic flight with breathtaking views of Mount Maunganui and golden beaches expanding as far as the eye can see. It's hard to put into words just how majestic that view is, so check out the photos or better still book a skydive and see for yourself - literally.
Breathtaking views
From higher up, you'll see White Island, Mount Ruapehu, the Rotorua Lakes, The Coromandel and even Mount Taranaki. It's incredible how much you can actually see from up high and it's part of the experience that will make lifetime memories of an absolutely incredible experience and this is even before you've done the skydive.
And if you still have some breath left after that, freefalling back towards Tauranga at 200km per hour on a tandem skydive might help take it away for good! The buzz, the thrill and the smiles from ear to ear really says it all. Sure there's screaming sometimes but in a good way!
An unforgettable experience
What you might like to do so your memories stay with you forever is check out the camera packages which are epic to look back on. There's tandem cam where you can take your pick from the photos package that includes over 200 photos or the video package or both! Or you can choose Outside Cam which is where one of the instructors follows you in the plane and in freefall. As the instructors fly around you they'll take high-quality photos and videos of your experience from every possible angle! What do you get? On average around 70 high-resolution photos plus an edited video of your jump. Just be aware they can only take one jumper at a time with this option, if you are a group and all want outside camera, you will need to go one after the other.
Sustainability
Things To Do In Tauranga also want you to know that Skydive Tauranga are the only skydive centre in New Zealand committed to becoming carbon neutral by 2025. They donate $2 to Trees That Count for every tandem. Their goal is to plant over 500 trees this year.
